TEMPORARY Sales Development Agent

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Conducts feasibility analysis and develops operational/promotional/inventory plans for new products recommended by manager that support and enhance existing customer/product base and collaborates with manager to execute plans.
  • Sources, builds and maintains positive customer/vendor relationships via information gleaned from trade publications, websites, public records, trade shows etc.
  • Develops contact lists for current and new customers and maintains a regular communication schedule to build and sustain business relationships via phone, email and direct mail.
  • Provides current and new customers with product and/or installation services information, price quotes/trends and other sales support activities to secure orders and develop future business opportunities.
  • Collaborates and establishes with manager, records and reports of established customers, new contacts, product inventory, sales, pricing, jobs in progress and other related activities to enable analyses of product sales, customer base, scheduling, job costs, revenues and accounts receivables.
  • Assists the Inside Sales department with inquiries specific to products promoted and sold by the Unistrut Department.
  • Assists with the development of product literature and ensures appropriate and timely distribution to qualified prospects.
  • Coordinates and may participate in product demos and trade shows.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under time constraints. Handle multiple demands through prioritization and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to maintain poise and rapport in difficult situations with customers, vendors, department staff, and company staff.
  • Proficient in math and ability to calculate on a consistent basis
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must Have Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
  • Associates/Bachelor's Degree in business related studies or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in business-to-business distribution and/or construction services to the Construction and Building Management Industries preferred.
  • Minimum 2-years experience in lieu of Associates degree.
  • Minimum 5-years experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
