POSITION TITLE: Sign Maker / Installer
COMPANY: G P Roadway Solutions
DEPARTMENT: Sign Shop
REPORTS TO: Operations Foreperson

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Produces signs which may require vinyl-cut text, custom inks, paint, digital prints and screen printing on different substrates such as plexiglass, PVC, sandblast wood, banners, metals and other specialty substrates.
2. Drills, cuts and assembles substrates in the fabrication of all signs utilizing hand tools, power tools and CNC Router when necessary.
3. Installs signs, banners, vinyl graphics and other graphic/visual media in accordance with job specifications.
4. Assists with maintaining appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, finished signs and supplies. Stores raw materials, finished signs and supplies in proper locations.
5. Assist with quality control checks and wraps and palletizes finished signs.
6. Assists with documentation on production and material usage logs using appropriate raw material and MUTCD (Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices) sign codes.
7. Keeps accurate logs of print jobs and material usage.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
9. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
10. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
1. High school graduate.
2. Manufacturing experience, preferably in a similar operation.
3. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, E-mail. Adaptable to in-house software. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete tasks in a timely manner.
4. Mathematical skills to calculate measurements using a measuring tape and to calculate quantities of material needed for jobs.
5. Able to read and understand work orders and other work-related documents and forms.
6. Blueprint reading helpful.
7. Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
8. Skilled in use of small hand tools.
9. Able to work independently and meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
10. Able to work flexible hours according to project needs.
11. Ability to lift 25 -50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
12. Able to wear negative pressure respirator on occasion.
13. Good eyesight and ability to distinguish colors.
