Senior Payroll

Position Overview:
The Senior Payroll will work under the general direction of the Payroll Manager and is
responsible for payroll team operation. This position is responsible for performing a
variety of clerical tasks related to maintaining payroll update, processing of payroll and
specialized tasks related to payroll and accounting.

Essential Duties:
• Review and update payroll job master folder when job data sheet received from
contract dept.
• Review and Save ETF received from HR
• Review Sage Summary Sheet vs work log. Keeps current with a comprehensive
understanding of applicable union agreements and prevailing wage requirements to
ensure accurate CPR process.
• Review and approve Payroll check request to AP.
• Prepare and reconcile 401K and Loan files weekly
• Prepare and reconcile Tax files weekly
• Download and reconcile monthly reports, Coda and Café, deduction reports
• Prepare PTO Accrual for GLP, GP, GPRS and MMQ
• Process Bank Reconciliation monthly.
• Prepare Monthly TDI for GPRS, Quarterly TDI for GP and annually for GLP.
• Prepare Multiple Worksites Report for GP and GPRS
• Prepare GPRS Union monthly Report (Temporary).
• Cross training with other payroll staff to be back up

Other Duties:
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm

Communication Demands:
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge:
Math: Strong mathematical skills to produce accurate calculations for
payroll.
Reading: Good reading skills required.
Computer: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; aptitude to learn inhouse
systems; keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily
tasks in a timely manner. Experience with Sage 100 and Vista
systems a plus.
Education: AS degree in Accounting is a plus but not required
Experience: 5 years accounting experience, preferably in payroll in the
construction industry.
Other: Must be at least 21 years of age.
