Sales Representative

Principal Duties:

1 Creates, implements, and maintains sales call plan for existing, potential, "cold"
customers.
2 Sources, builds and maintains positive customer/vendor relationships via information
gleaned from trade publications, websites, public records, trade shows etc.
3 Identifies key customers for assigned accounts and maintains a regular
communication schedule to build and sustain business relationships.
4 Maintains a current appointment calendar and quote log that is accessible to manager
and other department sales staff, as required, for efficient customer service and
response.
5 Provides current and new customers with product and/or installation services
information, price quotes/trends and other sales support activities to secure orders
and develop future business opportunities.
6 Effectively resolves customer concerns in a timely manner.
7 Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and
related documents.
8 Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints,
specifications, and related documents
9 Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements for proposals and
bids.
10 Performs field visit and surveys to gather information for proposals and bids.
11 Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive
information.
12 Conducts regular follow on submitted proposals and bids.
13 Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers
14 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and results as needed.

Principal Requirements:

1 College degree within related field preferred, or equivalent combination of experience
and education.
2 Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a Sales and/or Estimator capacity,
EOE / M / F / Vet / Disabled
preferably in industrial sales in the construction market. Sales management and/or
marketing experience helpful.
3 Math and analytical skills to perform pricing calculations and analyze sales/pricing
trends.
4 Working knowledge of MS Outlook applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Publisher, Visio, and Email; aptitude to learn in-house systems; keyboarding skills
sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
5 Ability to read blueprint plans and schematics.
6 Ability to read and understand business documents and technical drawing material
and requirements.
7 Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
8 Very detail oriented.
9 Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.
10 Ability to work well on a team.
11 Excellent interpersonal skills for effective internal and external communications.
12 Ability to craft and transmit timely correspondence and draft written product
information with clarity.
13 Ability to put together a professional presentation.
14 Ability to create reports on costing data.
15 Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
