Sales Representative

POSITION TITLE: Sales Representative
DEPARTMENT: Sales
LOCATION: Quarry
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
STATUS: Exempt

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Creates, implements, and maintains marketing and sales call plan for existing, potential customers.
2. Conducts office and site visits, and takes customers out to build client relationships and gather information on upcoming and ongoing projects. Keeps customers informed of supply and price trends.
3. Ability to input and maintain data on the Company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and job cards.
4. Looks for sales leads online through various agency websites including but not limited to GCA, City and county, HIePro (State), HePS (State Schools), DOT procurement, Fedbiz, Bid Service, etc.
5. Provides input to Sales Manager and Sales dept. for forecasting, sales goals, product specials, and advertising ideas.
6. Types various documents as required. Prepares and submits various reports (sales, inventory, customer/project status,). Field sales calls for hot mix asphalt, aggregates and SS1 products.
7. Willingness to learn lab testing and dispatching to get a better understanding of the products and logistics of what Grace Pacific sells.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
9. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
10. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Marketing degree preferred or degree in related field.
2. 3-year sales experience preferred.
3. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email: aptitude to learn automated in-house systems; keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.10 key by touch.
4. Excellent math skills to perform daily tasks with speed and accuracy.
5. Ability to read and understand government forms, instructions and technical documents.
6. Ability to read and understand project specifications and drawings.
7. Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract required.
8. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective internal and external communications.
