Quarry Loader, Operator 6I

POSITION TITLE: Loader Operator – 6I
COMPANY: Grace Pacific, LLC.
LOCATION: Quarry
REPORTS TO: Quarry Operations Manager
STATUS: Union

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Loads 50-ton Quarry haul trucks in a safe and timely manner.
2. Loads and transports material in loader bucket as needed.
3. Creates and maintains stockpiles, berms, and roads per MSHA requirements.
4. Completes daily workplace examination forms and turns in promptly at the end of each shift.
5. Complies and follows AASHTO/ASTM sampling methods.
6. Performs standard pre- and post- operational checks such as oil, water, fuel, coolant, and other standard checks and completes daily inspection reports.
7. Makes minor repairs as required and reports any mechanical defects or unsafe conditions at any plant or quarry facility to appropriate personnel.
8. Assumes responsibility for the condition, appearance, and housekeeping of assigned equipment.
9. Performs other duties as requested/needed.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Five years' experience operating loaders with 6.0 cubic yard bucket or larger in a quarry application.
2. General working knowledge of quarry operations and related equipment.
3. Mine Safety and Health Association (MSHA) Certificate of Training preferred.
4. Ability to work flexible hours (starting times/shifts).
5. Able to work in and around high areas.
6. Valid Hawaii driver's license and clean traffic abstract.
