Project Manager

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Coordinates all construction activity in assigned area. Reviews contract documents and requirements. Prepares and updates project schedules for contracting customers and/or subcontractors. Maintains database of active project issues. Serves as the primary contact with customers. Responsible for all project correspondence including but not limited to the following: schedules, RFI's, proposals, and daily reports. Attends all required project meetings.

• Responsible for profitability of all assigned projects. Meets with foreman to determine manpower and equipment assignments. Coordinates all required training. Investigates and initiates new methods and cost saving procedures. Instills the highest quality standard with continuous improvements.

• Provides all project billing information to accounting for proper accounting and follow up to assure payment. Reviews cost data and provides forecasting information to determine manpower and equipment assignments. Conducts final project audit and review of project procedures to insure continual effort in improvement.

• Prepares and negotiates cost estimates/change order proposals.

• Confirms material and equipment requirements. Places orders for material. Schedules delivery to meet project requirements.

• Works and monitors Project Engineer to ensure all daily reporting, materials, notifications, force accounts and coordination's are accomplished timely.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, within Structural, Mechanical or Civil specialties preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Experience: Minimum one year of work experience at the Junior Construction Engineer Level preferred.

Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.

Skills:

Computer Skills: Competency with Word, Excel, Email and aptitude to learn relevant systems.

Math: aptitude to perform daily tasks.

Reading: Ability to read and comprehend contract documents, job specifications, blueprints, and other technical and/or legal information.
