Plant Loader Operator

Principal Duties:

• Operate loader to transport raw materials from stockpiles to asphalt plant
• Operate loader in daily cleanup of asphalt plant
• Operates loader to organize yard's stockpiles
• Operate the loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Operates and maintains high frequency screens at various locations
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance;
• Must be aware of surrounding equipment (moving hauling trucks, asphalt tanker.)
• Must be able to listen for smooth/proper equipment operation
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment;
• Assists asphalt plant personnel in daily and scheduled maintenance; performs repairs as required.
• Follows OSHA & MSHA safety and Company regulations and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Principal Requirements:

• Capable of multiple dexterity, climbing, crouching, crawling, lying under equipment and lifting or moving up to 75 pounds. Requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection
• Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics and measurements to practical situations, ability to communicate items that pertain to the role.
• Must be able to operate Loader, skid steer, backhoe, forklift, hand pneumatic tools and walkie talkie.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years applicable loader operator at asphalt plant experience/training/combination required
• Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract required
• MSHA certified or previous miner certification preferred
• Must have ability to manage tasks and complete by deadlines
• Must have strong Interpersonal skills
