PSC-Outside Sales Representative
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Creates, implements, and maintains sales call plan for existing, potential, "cold" customers.
- Grow an existing database of accounts by cross-selling and being introduced to new buyers through existing contacts.
- Respond in a timely manner to leads generated via phone calls, walk ins and e-mails in order to generate appointments.
- Perform site surveys, meeting with customers at their place of business, taking measurements and upselling additional graphics when possible.
- Consultatively sell a variety of signs & graphic products targeting various accounts.
- Generate work orders with specifications for items that fulfill customer's needs.
- Work with the team to ensure projects are completed correctly and on-time.
- Coordinates marketing plan and product specials for accounts.
- Generate price quotes and follow up quickly.
- Inform customers of supply and price trends.
- Coordinates sales orders, deliveries and installations. Makes deliveries, oversees installations to customer locations and job sites as required.
- Prepare records and reports of sales and supporting activities.
- Maintains and builds positive customer relationships.
- Fills customer orders including taking material from warehouse area and loading customer vehicles.
- Submits Requests For Information (RFI) when needed, and provides estimating support for change order requirements.
- Solicits subcontractor and material supplier quotes and reviews for selection process. Provides good faith effort as required for minority participation goals.
- Reviews subcontract agreements for alignment with quoted proposal (scope of work, quantities, and pricing).
- Retains historical data on productivity/cost, activity processes and project issues as reference and guidelines to prepare estimates.
- Perform other tasks as required to complete projects and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Other Duties:
- Assists with annual inventory count and periodic audits.
- Assists the AR Specialist with documentation and data gathering for collections and/or assists with collections on select jobs.
- Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
- Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Knowledge:
Computer: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; aptitude to learn in-
house systems; keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
Office: 10 key, various office machines, general knowledge of office
operations.
Math: Math skills to perform pricing calculations and generating reports as requested.
Reading: Must be able to read and understand business documents and basic construction plan sheets
Education: Degree in sales, marketing, business management, construction, civil engineering, general studies preferred. May substitute education with years of experience.
Experience: (1) year experience in a similar operation, sales/retail environment.
Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract preferred.
