Inside Sales Supervisor

Principal Duties:

Overview: Responsible for supervising a team of inside sales representatives, while also providing
support for the outside sales team, clerical, administrative and customer support service
for the GPRS Oahu Branch which includes GPRS, Peterson Sign Company and
Unistrut Hawaii.


1. Assures daily cash reconciliation and purge reports are prepared accurately and
sent to Accounting daily.

2. Prepares and reviews product research, pricing and quotes for Manager (GPRS,
Unistrut, Peterson Signs) approval and recommends stock levels.


3. Trains and supervises inside sales staff on department procedures and processes
as directed by the Department Manager. Responsible for activities of the
department and follow-up on completion of tasks.


4. Takes walk-in, phone, and emailed orders for sales – internal and external
customers. Fills customer orders to include taking material from warehouse area.


5. Maintains an appropriate level and visually appealing display of sales items in the
showroom.


6. Creates, implements, and maintains sales call plan for existing and potential
clients/customers.


7. Assists Outside Sales staff with information searches, pricing, tracking sales and
submitting leads.


8. Provides specialty, government furnish-and-delivery quotations. Follows up on
bid/quote status.


9. Coordinates and participates in product demos.


10. Maintains and builds positive customer relationships, including researching and
resolving any customer complaints in a timely manner.


11. Performs Internet search for upcoming Federal, State, City & County, and private
bid listing and results.

12. Performs take offs and follows up on scope of work on bids.


13. Keeps accurate records of sales performance and prepares reports and
presentations for departmental performance tracking.


14. Processes submittals for sign projects.


15. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.


16. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service
orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.


17. Approves and submits timecards to Payroll in a timely manner for processing.


18. Bank deposits as needed


19. Assists the AR Specialist with documentation and data gathering for collections
and/or assists with collections on select jobs.


20. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.


21. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service
orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.

22. Performs other duties as assigned

Principal Requirements:

1. Degree in sales, marketing, business management, construction, civil engineering,
general studies preferred. May substitute education with years of experience.
2. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; aptitude to learn in

3. house systems: keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely
manner.
4. 10 key, various office machines, general knowledge of office operations.
5. Supervisory experience and/or (1) year experience in a similar operation preferred,
such as equipment rental operation, sales/retail environment, civil construction,
government agency related to road work and/or safety.
6. Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
7. Ability to maintain a Class 3 Drivers License
8. Ability to safely operate a company passenger vehicle on occasion.
9. Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
10.Able to work occasional late hours.
11.Well organized, able to work independently.
12.Able to lift 50 pounds regularly, climb ladders
13.Able to walk through an active loading zone, warehouse, and rentals yard while
being vigilant of hazards
14.Able to work under pressure or in a deadline driven environment; the use of
judgment or discretion; working with minimal (or considerable) supervision; the
ability to follow instructions; quick decision- making in a fast-paced environment; use
of discretion and independent judgment; collaboration and cooperation with
colleagues.
15.Able to multitask
16.Proficient in math and the ability to calculate on a consistent basis
