HR Coordinator

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Inputs and maintains employee data to ensure appropriate maintenance of electronic and personnel files in accordance with department procedures and legal requirements.
  • Completes all verbal and written employment verifications.
  • Assists with preparing new hire documents and ensures adequate supply of employment and/or benefits related forms.
  • Assists with coordinating, preparing material and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Assists with posting job openings on various recruitment sites, screening resumes and applications to ensure basic job qualifications are met.
  • Assists with facilitating drug testing logistics as required to comply with pre-employment, random, post-accident, return to work and reasonable suspicion testing policy and procedures.
  • Assists with benefits administration including enrollment, communications, billing, leave notices for FMLA, HFLL, TDI, WC, updating leave dashboards and change processes for all benefit offerings.
  • Supports and Assists Driver Qualifications Administrator with various administrative duties and responsibilities.
  • Assists with special projects (Aloha United Way, Ohana Fest, community fund-raising events, etc.).

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:

Skills/Knowledge:

Math: Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.

Reading: Ability to read and interpret legal documents, government regulations.

Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract preferred.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related major. 2 years Human Resources and/or complex administrative support experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable

Other: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; aptitude to learn in-house systems; keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
