POSITION TITLE: Fencing Operations Supervisor
COMPANY: G P Roadway Solutions

REPORTS TO: Oahu Rentals Manager
STATUS: Exempt

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
1. Oversees the Fencing Coordinator, Fencing Foreman and Fence Installer staff: Includes hiring, disciplining, monitoring job performance, ensuring competency levels, recommending appropriate training, conducting performance appraisals as required and recommending compensation adjustments.
2. Reviews and maintains daily pre-trip reports and coordinates vehicle/equipment and Company-owned tools for repairs and maintenance with Fleet Manager; assumes responsibility for vehicle keys.
3. Monitors and maintains rental fence inventory including fence panels, posts, chain link rolls, dust cloth, hardware and shop tools; coordinates physical count of inventory with warehouse personnel; reports high/low levels of equipment to determine whether equipment should be replaced, repaired or refurbished.
4. Makes recommendations to the Rental Manager regarding major equipment purchases and fencing material inventory; generates material requests from the purchasing, warehouse and/or the Sign Shop.
5. Issues Company shirts, communication devices and appropriate personal protective equipment to crew members.
6. Investigates damages to equipment and customer incidents in a timely manner, submits appropriate accident reports in conformance with Company policies and consults with the Rental Manager on appropriate disciplinary action.
7. Oversees, approves and ensures that internal paperwork related to the fencing staff flows in a timely manner, and in accordance with established department procedures.
8. Responsible for the maintenance, security and upkeep of the rental fence facility.
9. Performs Internet search for upcoming Federal, State, City & County, and private bid opportunities. Performs take offs, determines scope of work, and prepares pricing and quotes for temporary fencing and other rental opportunities accordingly. Follows up on bid/quote status and documents results.
10. Maintains and builds positive customer relationships. Seeks out opportunities to provide temporary fencing and other rental solutions to existing and new customers.
11. Coordinates activities with the Traffic Control, Sales and production staff, Rental Manager, Fencing Coordinator, Customers and government agencies to prepare orders, draw site plans, schedule shop work, schedule sufficient manpower and acquire the proper equipment to meet customer / work order requirements.
12. Assists the AR Specialist with documentation and data gathering for collections and/or assists with collections on select jobs.
13. Works with the Safety Officer to enforce company safety policies within the department, conduct facility and site inspections
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
16. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Community college preferred.
2. 2 years' experience in a similar operation, such as construction equipment management and manufacturing or 3 years relevant supervisory experience.
3. Welding knowledge helpful.
4. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email. Adaptable to in-house software. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete tasks in a timely manner. 10 key helpful.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Good mathematical skills to complete daily tasks.
7. Ability to read and comprehend business and technical information and read road maps.
8. Blueprint Reading required.
9. Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and evenings. Able to occasionally travel to neighbor islands.
10. Valid Hawaii driver's license and favorable Driver History Record.
11. OSHA 10 & First Aid certifications helpful.
12. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly. Climbing up to 8ft, working at a height of 30 ft.
13. Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective internal and external communications as well as initiate/promote sales of products and services.
14. Good organizational/administrative skills to multi-task effectively.
15. Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
