Job Description:
- Sources, builds and maintains positive customer/vendor relationships via information gleaned from trade publications, websites, public records, trade shows etc.
- Identifies key customers for assigned accounts and maintains a regular communication schedule to build and sustain business relationships.
- Maintains a current appointment calendar and quote log that is accessible to manager and other department sales staff, as required, for efficient customer service and response.
- Provides current and new customers with product and/or installation services information, price quotes/trends and other sales support activities to secure orders and develop future business opportunities.
- Effectively resolves customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Recommends pricing structures for existing/prospective accounts based on actual/potential sales volume.
- Facilitates credit applications for active prospects without credit status and assists with delinquent accounts, as needed.
Principal Requirements
Skills/Knowledge:
Math: Familiar with basic math skills to create spreadsheets calculating cost/sell/profit ratios. Familiar with basic geometry to calculate measurements for material takeoffs.
Reading: Able to comprehend project documents and industry/manufacturer's technical data and standards
Licenses: Must have valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
Education: Degree in sales, marketing, business management, construction, civil engineering, general studies preferred.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years' of experience in industrial/construction services or business-to-business sales.
Computer: Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Excel, Word,
and PowerPoint.
